Yours of the 21st. ult. received. Prest. Young has gone from home, leaving me to attend to his correspondence.

As I know of none of our Elders travelling in your section to whom I could refer you, and a brief letter can give you but a limited idea of our Church discipline, doctrines &c. I would suggest a course of reading. The "Deseret News" office, S.L. City, has for sale quite a number of works descriptive of the faith of the Latter-day Saints, and for a small sum, say $5.00 for a variety of such works, or even $1.50 for Professor "Orson Pratt's Pamphlets" you can obtain the desired information.
