Yours pr Jno Moore Sec'y arrived duly. In reply there does not appear any way of settling your acct at present. It is hoped that a better state of things will exist by and by. We have no more Cooperative pay just now. We have some good woollen cloths, cotton yarn &c if any of the hands wanted any. I cannot give you encouragement of any immediate settlement. You may perhaps find yourselves able to take a bond or two of the U.C.R. Co on acct.
