Dear Bro:--

T. Jessop called here a day or two ago and presented telegraphic order of T.E. Ricks of Oct. 23. 1869. on B Young for $500. upon which was endorsed as follows, viz:-- paid Feb 15/70 25 bus Corn 25.00 Paid Feb 15 Hay 15.00 (These must have been paid by you from the Logan Tithing office,) which I thought was a trifle -- awkward for me to get along with, but I believe you will be able to keep the account straight as well as ourselves if I have a separate order for the above hay and corn issued upon the Logan T. Office, which I shall charge to Ricks; I therefore enclose the order for the above amount $40. so when you report how much corn & Rich has had, the above amount of $40. must be deducted.

Truly yours

T.W. Ellerbeck
