Mr. Jonathan Browning,
Ogden City.

Dear Bro:-

Yours of the 28th. ult has been received. In regard to the questions therein contained I will say:-

1st. On every Wednesday we attend to the ordinances you allude to.

2nd. It is the prerogative of your father's eldest living son, (if in the Church) to be baptized for him; and for your mother's sealing, her nearest female relative, living & in the Church. It is a question, however, if it might not be better to have her sealed to some person who has already embraced the Gospel, rather than run the risk of his not embracing it.

3rd. You an have the young woman you mention sealed to you. Bring your recommend, & if she has not been baptized, she will have to be baptized for; this may be done by your eldest living wife, who can also officiate in the sealing as well.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
