Dear Bro:-

Yours of the 22nd ult. has been received. which I will proceed to answer in the order in which you present the questions.

1st. It would be quite proper, under the circumstances you describe, to have your first wife's mother sealed to you: bring your recommend & we will attend to it. It would also be proper in this case for you to be baptized for your first wife's husband, it would at least be kind on your part & might prove beneficial to him.

2nd. You can have your first wife's sister sealed to you, if her own relatives who are in the Church are willing.

3rd. You can also have your second wife's mother sealed to you on the same conditions as stated above.

4th We are not adopting children now, this has to be done in a Temple.

5th. The girl who died at six months old, needs no baptism.

6th The boy who was drowned when ten years of age, should be baptized for, you ought to do this for him, it was wrong to neglect it, after he was eight years of age.

7th The Indian girl who died at eighteen months, needs no baptism, but the one you say is twelve years of age, is old enough to be baptized herself, and, if she willing. this should be attended to.

Hoping you will find the foregoing satisfactory.

I remain,
Your Bro. in the Gospel

Daniel H Wells
