Dear Sir:-

Your favor of the 13th inst. with accompanying Statement of account has been received.

Mr. John Sharp, my Attorney, is authorized to order such materials as we may require, and, in answer to your postscript of the 13th inst. for a statement of such further material as we may require. I would be pleased to have you forward me as soon as practicable 450 tons of Iron and 30 tons of Spikes.

We find some discrepancies in your account which can be adjusted hereafter.
