Dear Bro,-

Your letter of the 25th ult with regard to establishing a saw mill, in the Kanab Mission has reached me safely. I am perfectly willing for you to go a head, put up your mill an get out the lumber, you cannot get out too much, and probably the best location would be near the Kanab Settlement, though when Long Valley is settled a good deal will be wanted there. At the same time I hope none of you will quarrel with others who may wish to get a little of the timber. Bro Levi Stewart, in charge of a small company of men will start for that region next Thursday.

We have just concluded our adjourned conference, and have had most excellent meetings. Notwithstanding the erection of the gallery, to accomodate three or four thousand more people, the building appears to be yet too small, every portion being crouded at most of our assemblies. The erection of the gallery has had a wonderful effect in improving the acoustics of the house. From what I learn of the brethren. I believe that a good speaker can be distinctly heard in almost every part.

My health is good, we are having most beautiful weather, and all is well, still I must acknowledge we are a little behind our Dixie brethren, not having yet partaken of the luxury of strawberries & cream in which you were indulging some three weeks ago.

May the Lord, continue to bless you is the constant prayer of

Your Brother.
