Dear Bro:-

Your letter of 7th inst, reached here while I was absent from home. In reply thereto I will say, you can stop and take care of Mr Partridge just so long as you desire, or deem wise, and whether he leaves you anything or not be sure and be kind to him, and live your religion. It would be well should the opportunity offer, for you to follow out your ideas to attend some good school or college or learn some good business.
