Dear Sir:
In reply to your favor of 2nd inst to President Young, permit me to say that the direct route to Walla Walla, is by Rail to Kelton, on the Central Pacific Railroad, from whence you can travel by stage to Walla Walla, the journey occupying about four days. The fare by stage was $110.00 last Summer, I believe it is less this season, but I have been unable to find out the exact amount. This is all I have been able to find out by diligent enquiry in this city
