Sister Mary Gillett,
Tooele City

I regret exceeding to learn that you have applied to Gen. Maxwell to enter into law before the unjust and not before the Saints in relation to the matter of difference existing between you and the factory Company.

As you love truth righteousness and the law of the Lord, and hope for the blessing of exaltation I advise you to settle that difference and not go to law, the end of which you do not know. Do not let Satan tempt you to evil, because you seem to have advantage of your brother, and do not take Counsel from those who hate Zion and all her interests, and would only make a tool of you to promote discord, and lay a foundation for your own destruction, as well as that of others. Think seriously and prayerfuly on this before you further go, for you stand on the brink of an abyss the bottom of which you should not fathom.

May the Lord bless you & soften your heart,
Your bro in the Gospel
Geo. A. Smith
