Dear Sir:
Your favor of 28th ult to President Young has been received, but he is at present from home; permit me, therefore, to say in his absence that I was not aware that your kind present of the "Gargling Oil" had remained so long unacknowledged. President Young received the oil safely, but has never had occasion to use it, when he does I have little doubt but that he will communicate with you.

Your Very Respectfully
Geo. Reynolds
Clerk to Prest Young
