Mr. James G. Bleak,
St. George, Washington Co.

Dear Bro:

Yours of the 9th inst. has been received. As to whether you did, or did not say, "that Bro. Thomas Ellerbeck was as much to blame as anybody for the A/c of F.B. Woolley not being settled" I do not know. It is certain, however, that, not only Jos. W. Young, but also Joseph Birch received the impression from some remarks of yours, that you said you had found difficulty in trying to settle with Thomas Ellerbeck, & that the fault is measurably with Bro Ellerbeck that Bro. Woolley's A/cs. are not settled; and I understood the same from you myself when we conversed on that subject last spring in St. George.

I am satisfied that Bro. Ellerbeck has done all he could in the premises -- our books are ready & have been for a length of time -- and that he has, for years, solicited Bro. Woolley to bring his accounts to this office without which a settlement could not possibly be made.

This matter should be straitened up without <further> delay, and in accordance with your proposition to bring the books & papers to this office, I would be pleased to have you come just as soon as consistent with the arrangements & bring with you all the books & papers relative to this business.

On receipt of this I would like to have you write me & state at what time you will be here. My health & that of my immediate associates is good, for which I feel truly thankful; the weather here is unusually warm & were it not for the breeze tempering the atmosphere, the heat would be severely felt.

With best wishes for you & all the faithful,
I remain Your Bro. in the Gospel
Brigham Young

P.S.
My counsel to you is to resign some of the Offices you now hold as you have evidently too
much business on hand to do justice to all.
B.Y.
