Dear Brother:

Your letter of 18th ult is to hand. With regard to yourself and others returning to your homes in Sevier Co. I will say that those of you who wish to do so have that privilege if all will scrupelously carry out the teachings and instructions that have from time to time been given with regard to resettling that county, in the spirit and meaning in which they were given. On these conditions you have my consent to re-establish the deserted settlements
in Sevier Co.

Your Brother in the Gospel.
