Dear Sir

Your favor to President B. Young has been handed to me, to reply to. Trade is very dull here just at present, and but few improvements are being made, indeed, there are many parts of the Union where money can be made much more easily than in Utah just at present. Most of the inhabitants of Utah came here, from a deep religious conviction that it was the will of the Lord for them to do so, to such this Territory is the best place in the world, but those who come here with other motives are often dissapointed.

Very Respectfully Yours
Geo Reynolds
Clerk to Prest Young
