Malad:-
Dear Bro:-- The box eggs you sent to General Tithing Office in July were all rotten. The butter too was in a terrible state and had to be retubbed before reaching the City. Please dont forward any more rotten eggs, and butter put up so poorly. We get our eggs, &c. in good condition from much greater distances south.

The Bishops are making personal efforts to collect Tithing and P.E. Fund Stock to assist in relieving the Trustee in Trust of his embarrassments. Please roll up your sleeves and gather every head of horned Stock you possibly can and forward the same to this city without unnecessary delay.

Your ward has paid but comparatively little Stock tithing.
Respectfully &c
