Dear Bro:-
In yours of 2nd inst. you say in advising of drafts paid, that No 737 Carl J. Anderson £7. has been paid. Now you were advised by letter of 13th May 1870 that we had <paid> that draft here. Do you mean that you have also paid it? Your office letter of 5th Mch 1869 stated that you held the draft; & as the person could not be found, the sender applied the draft to be settled here. How is this?
