Dear Sir:
I should be pleased to learn the terms on which you would sell the land, known as the "sand ridge," situated between Ogden City and Kaysville, so that the people might negociate with you for the purchase thereof. The land is almost entirely a desert, the little that can be cultivated would require an expenditure of from Ten to Fifteen Dollars per acre, to bring the waters upon it for irrigation, and I feel satisfied that no attempt will be made to reclaim this spot until the title is secured.

I have addressed a note to President Ames. informing him that I had written to you on this subject

An early reply giving price per acre and other particulars will oblige

Yours Respectfully.
Brigham Young
