Referring to yours of 16th July last, sister Barbara Eng called at the office yesterday about her Draft on us E8 £113.1.3., which you desire in your letter aforesaid to be paid without delay. She stated that she gave 3000 Francs in gold to bro Carl G. Maesser, and he states that he paid all of said sum 3000 francs into the Lpool office, and the draft not being equivalent to said amount by about 148 francs there must be some mistake. Your immediate reply will be thankfully received by those parties.
