J.J. Dickey Esqr
Omaha-

When the Press reports were first offered by you, I made every effort to induce our papers to take them. The "Ogden Junction" had refused to take them of your agent for at 2-1/2 dollars per week and months afterwards was hard to be induced to take them <at all>. I had to tell them that aside from the increasing interest of of their paper if they would take them the papers here might be induced to take them also as they were holding off on this account. I am satisfied the "Junction" would not have taken them and may not again
should any hitch in the arrangement transpire. The "News" and "Herald" are now both discussing the propriety of taking your reports, but whether they will or not time will determine. If they could be induced to believe that they are as reliable in every respect as the the W.U. reports they would take them without hesitation. The "Junction" contracted with us, and not with you, for the report. This I telegraphed to you several times naming that paper, giving you the figures viz. $25 per month. The "Junction" say they contracted with us, and always looked to us for the report. If you are not willing that we should furnish them the
report in connection with the other papers here, if they should be induced to
must act your pleasure.

We have labored hard and if to promote the companies.

Respectfully
A Milton Musser
