Dear Sir:

In reply to your favor of 12th inst, relative to the transportation of silver bullion from Pioche to Salt Lake City I will say that I would be willing myself to undertake the contract if the terms could be made satisfactory, which at the rates prevailing in this and adjoining Territories would be about $23.00 per Thousand dollars worth, weighing 60 lbs or less, and 37 cts per lb for all it may weigh over that amount. The Bullion to be taken from Pioche on the 1st and 15th of each month, and delivery insured at the depot of the Utah Central R.R. Co. or to your authorized agent in this city with all dispatch; but I shall be pleased to hear further from you on this subject.

Very Truly Yours.
Brigham Young
