Dear Sir

Your favor of 26th ult is to hand. President young is at present absent from home, visiting the southern portions of the Territory, and will probably not return to this city until Spring, thus precluding him from accepting the invitation to lecture so courteously extended. His engagements are such that it will probably be some time before he will have the opportunity of leaving Utah to address assemblies outside her borders.

Yours Respectfully.

Clerk to Prest Young
