Dear Bro:-

Your letter of 17th Oct to Prest B. Young, was handed to me to answer, but till now I have
not seen clearly how to do so satisfactorily. Now however, I can say that your course
evidently is to pay up Allgood & Beard ($291.80 exactly) in such pay as you can, that will not be advisable to drive to the city, and get enough in all to come to a bond, otherwise I think you had better not pay Allgood & Beard at all in this way, as we have no bonds for less than $800. If however you could induce those brethren to put in on tithing such of those articles as A & B would take to the amt. of their claim, then it could be settled directly thro the tithg department, and the brethren would have no investment, in the bonds, which they had better not have unless they can get a bond. We could hardly take the horse & coal on acct. of a bond, hence you had better try & secure enough on tithing to pay A & B. When A & B are paid by you, or before, the should come here and get an order on you for the amt, & give us their receipt

Your Brother
