I have to inform you that I am instructed by Geo. H. Manypenny Commissioner of Indian Affairs that you are removed from the Office of Indian Agent for Utah Territory. & Major Edward A. Bedell is appointed in your place.

Major Bedell has arrived and reported himself ready for duty, and is ready to receive & receipt for all Government Monies and property in your possession.
