Please find enclosed, Draft of "Deseret National Bank" for $119.88, in full of your bill of Mdse. rendered Oct. 5.

I have to apologize for the delay in settling. The cause of this was that your bill was inadvertently mislaid at the time it was received and the transaction forgotten.

Trusting that no considerable inconvenience or annoyance has arisen from the delay.
