Yours of the 20th inst. has been received.
 
I am not able to say now whether we can employ your Son Joseph at the Theatre, as we contemplate closing it for repairs, and the business is so dull as to leave it a matter of doubt whether we can keep it constantly running.
 
If we find we will require his services we will let you know.
