To the 43rd Annual Conference
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Beloved Brethren and Sisters:

The time has arrived when I feel it to be right and proper for me to request this Conference, that they appoint some person, other than myself, to be Trustee in Trust for the Church.

I will state that my object in this, is to be relieved, so far as possible, from all secular business, and, accordingly, I have resigned, (or will resign) all offices of that character which I have heretofore held.

Ever praying for the welfare of all Israel,

I remain
Your brother in the Gospel

Brigham Young
