Dear Bro:

Yours of the 14th inst. has been received and its contents noted.

I know nothing as to the matters therein contained. Your mission was assigned you without regard to anything of the kind.

You should not let those feelings influence you at all, but go on your mission and do right, and you will have my confidence and approbation, and that of your brethren, and the Lord will bless you in your labors.
