Yours to Prest. B. Young with report of St. Louis Branch was duly received & submitted to the editor of the "Deseret News," and an abstract published.

With regard to your successor; as the Prest. is unacquainted with the brethren there, it is proper in all such cases for the branch to select such a person as they agree upon.

Please send name and address of the elder who is appointed, so that if the Prest. should think proper to instruct some competent elder to call upon the branch, or to take charge of it, he will know where to direct him.
