Atty. & Couns. at law

Dear Sir, I am in receipt of yours of the 23rd inst and can assure you that it will not be my fault if something is not done to provide you employment the matter has been in consideration for some few days. I appreciate very highly the patriotism and dignified feeling that has characterized your course ever since your arrival among our people.

It is very evident that your business at the bar is ruined while the present chief Justice is on the bench. Still there is much business to be done in connection with some of our institutions, and if it is in my power to secure you an engagement I shall certainly do so.

Yours respectfully
Geo. A. Smith
