Hon. George Q. Cannon. M. C.
Washington, D. C.

Dear Bro:-

We mail you to-night by Wells, Fargo & Co. 2 papers, being a compilation of authorities intended to aid you in combating the measures before Congress as affecting Utah. You may expect others, so fast as they are prepared. You will perceive that each paper pursues a continuous line of argument considered with the aim to place before you, authorities rather than original matter.

Last Monday's meeting resolved into a Committee of the whole to furnish you materials, and a Special Committee composed of Prest. Wells. Elias Smith, Z. Snow, Hosea Stout, J. R. Winder and myself are to receive, arrange, and forward you the reports.

Praying God to bless you with every needed blessing.

Your Bro. in the Gospel.

D. McKenzie
