Gents.

From year to year the Genl. Tithing Office does a pretty large business in Shipping butter, eggs, &c. in barrells, boxes, sacks, &c. from outlying settlements to this City. These articles reach us over your roads. Would it be asking too much of you to send back our empty barrells, boxes, sacks, &c. in which these products reach us free of Charge to the Genl. Tithing Office. I understand that the C. P. U. P. & U. N. Roads do this service free to Merchants and other shippers in their Circuits.

An answer will oblige

Respectfully &c
A. M. Musser
