Bishop Robert Gardner,

Dear Brother:

A circular is being sent to several Bishops in regard to laborers sufficient to finish the St. George Temple on or before the 1st of April. This will involve providing shelter for them during the winter, and it has been thought to be a good plan to consult bro. Schofield as to the expediency of being prepared to make carpenter shops in the basement rooms of the Temple, put in the first floor timbers, lay a rough floor, and make lodging and cooking rooms with shed roofs, pitching to the centre, for the laborers and their families. Use basement rooms on one side for carpenter Shops, and both basement and first floor shed-roofed rooms on the other sides, so far as may be necessary, for cooking and lodging rooms.

The foregoing is offered by way of suggestion, by

Your Brother in the Gospel
