Brother Horace,

You may begin to think that our wants are many and that our requirements multiply with each mail, which would be a correct conclusion, still I do not design to over burthen you, nor leave you cramped in means, hence for fear of accident, I write again that you have full liberty to draw upon our delegate Hon John M. Bernhisel for such amounts of funds as you may need from time to time to enable you to fulfill my requisitions, and I have instructed him to honor your drafts.

Enclosed you will find a bill of paper &c, and a bill of paints, oils, glass &c. which I wish you to fill, and bring on the articles next season, also a Duplicate Copy of the articles sent for by the two last mails; this copy is not forwarded with the design for you to procure Double the Amount of the Articles named, but merely to insure against Mail accidents, for if you receive the letters, the Duplicate is void, and if the letters do not arrive the Duplicate will inform you what articles are wanted.

Should a brother by the name of Henry Smith from London, arrive at St. Louis on his way to this place, and need some assistance to bring on fruit Trees, Shrubbery &c. you will please help him. The November mail has not arrived,

We are enjoying delightful weather & general health & prosperity.

I Remain as ever Your Brother &c.
