Dear Madam

Your letter [loss]
on the 21st inst, and I cheerfully [loss]
information by the first return mail. [loss]

Simeon Drake's widow and her mother [loss]
City, and are well, and well provided for and say they have written to you often, but receiving [loss]
dead. [loss] is also [loss]
City, and your son is living with [loss]
a smart and useful man; they are all well [loss]
is living in the City. 

Your relatives here to have you [loss]
write to them. Upon reflection, I [loss] but [loss]
instead of having no friends among the Saints that you have [loss]
many, and those among the very best you have upon the earth.

Should you at present or at any future time wish to [loss]
cast your lot with us in these pleasant vallies, where you can be at peace, & worship according to the dictates of your own conscience, if you will come as far as St Louis, you will always find one of our Agents
there, who will assist you, if necessary, to come on in the emigrating P. F. Company.

I have furnished Sister Drake and her mother with your name and address, & should they write to you I wish you would answer their letters. From truly your friend
