KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS

That We, Heber C. Kimball and Orson Hyde of Great Salt Lake City, G. S. L. County, Utah Territory, do hereby constitute and appoint the Hon. John M. Bernhisel of the aforsaid City, County, & Territory, to be our true, sufficient, and lawful attorney, for, and in our names, for our use, to make use of our names as Guarantors, for the following named Mail Routes; viz. from Great Salt Lake City, to Independence Mo. and from the said City, to Youngsville in Weber County, U.T. and from the said City to Tooele City, Tooele County, U. T. and

For the purposes aforesaid, We do hereby grant unto our said attorney, full power to execute all needful instruments and papers, whither under Seal or otherwise, and generally to do and perform all such acts, matters, and things, as our said attorney shall deem necessary and expedient, for the complete and effectual execution of the authority herein before granted, as fully as we might and could do, if we were personally present; we hereby ratifying and confirming all the Acts, of our said Attorney. Done by virtue and in persuance of these Presents.
In testimony whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals, this 26th day of Augt in the year of our lord Eighteen Hundred and Fifty three.
