Your letter of July 12th, arrived too late for reply by the Mail of the 1st inst, which will account for apparent remissness, as we have only a monthly Mail. I cheerfully comply with your request to be furnished with a copy of The book of Mormon, and have written by this Mail to Elder Erastus Snow, one of the Twelve Apostles, now presiding at St Louis, to forward you one by Mail which I presume will be attended upon receipt of the instruction.
