To the Saints of Cedar Valley:

Your note of 12th inst. informing me that you have moved to the east side of Jordan bridge, Utah; is received.  You have done right.  It is my wish that you locate, for the time being, at Lehi, and if you have put in crop at Cedar Valley you can appoint as many of the brethren as is necessary, to go over and attend to it in the season thereof.  I shall write bishop Evans to arrange to let you, in common with others, have some land to put crop in at his place.

Your Bro. in the Gospel

Brigham Young

P. S.  Be sure and keep your stock on the east side of Jordan and send none to Cedar Valley but what is actually necessary to use in taking care of the crop
