Dear Brethren: -- We have selected from the wards south, W. H. Garr Abel Garr, Horace Clark Sylvester Collett Ephraim Pearsons Abraham Hatch Wesley Wheeler Joseph Thatcher Moses Thatcher George Thatcher David Armstrong and H. Woodville Wilson to accompany Bro N. Groesbeck and others selected from this City to go down to the Platte Bridge, and bring in the train of goods which was left there last fall. We have instructed the Brethren selected to go, to furnish themselves with suitable animals, camp equpage, Guns & Ammunition, and be ready to start from this City on next Thursday, and if they cannot <well> go themselves to get some other equally suitable to go in their place. We refer them to you for aid and desire you to render them such assistance as they may need that they may be on hand and ready for this service at the time and place appointed.

If circumstances should render it wisdom for any of those whom we have selected, as above, not to go, you will please see that others equally suitable are selected and that Mules suitable for the trip are also forwarded. The Mules must be in good order and not already tired out by constant traveling on the roads, as the most of ours have this Spring, such will soon give out on such a trip, and consequently not fit to go.

Be prompt and efficient in this call, as now is the time to drive in that train.
May God bless you.

As Ever Yours in the Gospel
