Bishop Aaron Johnson,

I am informed by bro. Francis Reader that a man by the name of J. Datus Ensign has taken a Cow from him which bro Reader obtained from the Church. Now if we have got a Cow belonging to bro Ensign we can make it right with him and he should not take a Cow from Bro Reader in this way. Bro Stringham is absent just now, but when he returns the case shall be investigated and if it is not right be made so; in the mean time please to see that Cow is returned to bro Reader. Bro Ensign agreed with bro Reader to be here to day with him and have the matter adjusted but failed to come thereby disappointing bro Reader who hired a horse and came all the way from Payson to attend to it.

I remain truly Your bro in the Gospel of
Christ

Daniel H Wells
