Mr. Simonton,
Sir:--
In compliance with your request, and at the earliest opportunity, I take pleasure in herewith transmitting to you the report of remarks made by me in Provo, June 27. Mr. J. B. Milner has had but little practice in reporting, hence there are several omissions and since press of business precludes my attempting to supply them from memory, I trust that what the reporter has enabled me now to furnish will prove satisfactory.
Very respectfully,

(Signed) Brigham Young
A copy of the above was addressed to Mr. Fillmore also.
