Augt 2nd. 1858.
Benjn. F. Johnston,
Dear Brother:--
I received a note from Bernard Snow requesting the use of a yoke Oxen in your charge which I am willing he should have, as he stated that could get them from you by your receiving a line from me to that effect you can let him have them without any further order please to send to this office the value of the cattle when he gets them so that we may know where they and what they are worth.
