Dear Brother:--
Yours of Jan. 25 & 26 are at hand, also bro. J. W. Coward's of Feb. 4 & 11, and bro. F. Kesler's of Jan. 23, and I am highly gratified in learning therefrom of the blessings attending your labors, and that you so much enjoy the Spirit of your missions. The uncertainty of our mail matter's reaching its legitimate destination and the few reliable opportunities for transmitting by individuals sufficiently account for the fewness of our communications to yourself, and other brethren, doubtless a source of as much inconvenience and regret to us as to you; and we trust that circumstances will operate, at a day not distant, to do away with the present hindrances.

Brother R. Sneddon has deposited twenty five dollars ($25.00) to assist to bring Agnes Sneddon of Gravois Branch, St. Louis, to this place; and bro. John H. Picknell has deposited fifty dollars ($50.00) to aid Sarah and Fanny Picknell in coming from St. Louis to this place.
Such additional advices as may then be requisite, if any, and such other items as may be of interest and importance, will be forwarded by the earliest <reliable> opportunity. Matters continue to move on without collision, much to the chagrin and disappointment of those who would delight in seeing injustice predominate. The season is backward, stock poor and forage scarce, which will make plowing and seeding later than usual, still the prospects are fair for a good harvest.
