Dear Bror.

We would like to have eight or ten bushels of the sugar cane seed sent to this city.  Bro Jno Bollwinkel who has obtained the contract for carrying the mail from Fillmore to this place has agreed to bring the seed from that point if it can be forwarded that far.  If you will interest yourself so far in forwarding it so that we will be sure to obtain it in season for planting you will confer a great favor upon many in this region, who are desirous of procuring the pure seed.  You will please to examine and see if the seed is mouldy or in any way injured before sending and not send any but good seed.

Your friend & brother

Brigham Young
