To the brethren of West Jordan Ward.

Dear brethren,

We have this day ordained bro Archibald Gardner to the High Priesthood and set him apart to the office of Bishop to preside over your ward.  He was ordained under the hands of Bishop Hunter, Bishop Miller and myself:  We trust you will be united with him in your feelings in all things, and that his counsel will meet a ready response from the Ward.

Praying that our Father in Heaven will guide bro Gardner in the discharge of his duties and bless you with His spirit at all times, I remain
