G. S. L. City, Feb. 7, 1862.

Elder Alanson Norton,
Provo, U. T.,

Dear Brother:-- Myself and others think of sending to the States this season for quite an amount and variety of machinery, for which reason I wish you, at your earliest convenience, to send me a minute and full bill of all articles, not better procurable here, necessary for a complete woollen factory on a moderate scale.

As br. Horace S. Eldredge, who goes to the States to make our purchases and superintend the affairs of the emigration, wishes to start about the 15th of this month, your early attention to the foregoing will much oblige,

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
