Elder William S. Godbe,
San Francisco, Cal,

Dear Brother:--
You are probably aware that Br. John W. Norton, who went on a mission to Australia, was severely injured in California while at work earning means for his conveyance to his home in this City, and through that accident has been obliged to remain. If possible consistent with your time and plans I wish you to hunt up Br. Norton, or cause it to be done, and make arrangements to have him come through with your train of goods, or otherwise, this season. Should it not be convenient for you to arrange for br. Norton's transportation as above named, please inform him that I purpose seeing br. Henry W. Lawrence about bringing him through, but as br. Lawrence's train will be considerably later than yours I think it would be much best for Br. Norton to come to first suggested, if possible.

Br. Dwight Eveleth can inform you where br. Norton is tarrying.

Your Brother in the Gospel

Brigham Young
