President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Eng:

Beloved Brother,
The Elders appointed on their missions east have all left this place, and we send an express in the morning to give them their last papers and documents, and among other things we send you ten blanks, signed by the Governor, and Secretary of Utah, so that if any of the Elders sent to England shall be wanted to go on the continent, which will be decided by conference when they arrive at Liverpool, you will fill such blanks so far as they may be needed for such elders so sent; and the remainder if any, retain for further use or instruction.
