Sir,

I have before me
W. S. Ketchem to Genl. Jos. J. Jessup; one from Gen.
Jesup, to Hon Luke Lea, Commissioner of Indian Affairs,
and one from the Hon Luke Lea to Major          
J Holeman Indian Agent for the Territory all                  
the Mule that Major Holeman
of Mr. James Bridger; but Capt Ketchem thinks it is
"an estrayed government mule-- On this account I sent
you the Mule in question
who will present it to you,
prove to be government property they will turn it over
should such be the case, you will please notify me of
it at your earliest convenience, that Major Holeman
may be able to correct his account Current in            
accordance therewith.
