Elder William B. Maxwell,

Br. Levi Stewart's Herd Ground near Goshen,

Dear Brother:-Before me is your list of names, under date of Feb. 20, but upon further reflection, I have deemed it best not to proceed in that matter until I am better informed upon the subject.

So far as I am concerned, if you have at any time deemed yourself under any requirement in this matter, you are hereby entirely released from making any movement in relation to forming a new settlement, any further than you are or may be individually concerned, and I will so notify the brethren in Provo, Springville, Payson, Goshen, and Nephi, that there may be no misunderstanding nor disappointment.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
