Bishop Philo T. Farnsworth
and Charles W. Wandell,

Beaver, Beaver Co., U.T.

Dear Brothers:-I understand that you have three good schools in operation in your place, and that you have chosen br. Wandell for one of your counselors, and taken him from school teaching as being incompatible with his present position. So far as I learn, br. Wandell is a good school teacher, loves that occupation, and can do more good in that than in any other at present. For these reasons I am strongly of the opinion that it will be best for you to release br. Wandell from the position to which you have selected him, and let him come at once to Payson where they are much in need of a good teacher. I have no doubt but that it will be conducive of the most good to all concerned, for br. Wandell to come to Payson, at his earliest convenience, and commence and teach school there the year round, making that his principal occupation.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
